State Regulations
We offer medication abortion (the "abortion pill”) through 11 weeks and 6 days and procedural abortion through 14 weeks and 0 days.
Counseling Requirement
In Wisconsin, you are required to have an in-person counseling visit that includes an ultrasound and then a 24-hour waiting period before you can receive abortion care.
Medicaid Regulations
In Wisconsin, Medicaid generally does not cover abortion care, with a few exceptions. Medicaid will cover abortions in the following situations: when the abortion is medically necessary to save the person's life, when the pregnancy resulted from sexual assault or incest (which must be reported to law enforcement), or when the abortion is medically necessary to prevent grave, long-lasting physical health damage to the pregnant person. If you believe this may apply to you please make sure to let us know when you schedule your appointment.
Parental Consent
In Wisconsin parental or guardian consent is required if you are under 18 years old. If you prefer to not involve a parent/guardian let us know when you call and we can discuss how to get a judicial bypass. A judicial bypass is when a judge grants you the ability to get an abortion without parental/guardian consent. We can share resources to help you navigate this process, including traveling to Illinois where there is no requirement for parental/guardian consent if you are under 18 years old.
